The McGill University Center of Excellence Program in Minimally Invasive Surgery was developed to integrate the clinical, research, educational, and administrative activities in minimally invasive surgery (MIS) across the adult and pediatric sites of the McGill University Health Center and the Sir Mortimer B. Davis Jewish General Hospital. It represents activities within the specialty of general surgery primarily and increasingly that of urology, as well as some of the activities of the Departments of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Thoracic Surgery and Pediatric Surgery. The success of the program is the result of the collegial collaboration of a number of surgeons, nurses, affiliated research scientists and excellent support from the Audiovisual Department, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Management, and the organizational skills of Maria Cortese, our Administrative Assistant. |
